Knowledge and innovation at the service of the textile and fashion industry at the seventh edition of Createx
From June 11th to 13th, Corferias will become the center of innovation for the textile, apparel, and fashion sector with the seventh edition of Createx. As part of its Knowledge and Development component, the event will offer an academic agenda consisting of 22 activities, conceived as strategic spaces for knowledge transfer, professional development, and the analysis of emerging trends that are shaping the direction of the industry.
Lilian Conde, Createx project manager, stated: “The Createx fair opens its doors to students, professionals, entrepreneurs, and industry enthusiasts to actively participate in this platform for knowledge, innovation, and networking. The evolution of the industry is underway, and this event is the ideal setting to be part of that transformation. Therefore, we are proud to present a rich academic agenda with content for all stakeholders in the sector.”
On June 11, the academic program will open with a talk by ECCI University entitled "From Idea to Product: Creative Processes in the Fashion System," which will take place from 10:40 a.m. to 11:25 a.m. This session will address the journey from the conceptualization of an idea to the realization of a product within the fashion system, passing through key stages such as trend research, design, material selection, production, and marketing.
That same day, at 2:50 p.m., ECCI University will present "Learning Patternmaking through Experimental Production, 3D Layout, and Artificial Intelligence," an innovative proposal that explores new patternmaking teaching methodologies, integrating technological tools that promote more dynamic and creative learning aligned with current market demands.
At 3:40 p.m., Fenalco will speak at the conference "How Artificial Intelligence Is Changing the Game in the Fashion Sector." This event will highlight five key innovations in artificial intelligence that are redefining the design, production, and marketing processes in the industry, highlighting their transformative potential.
On June 12, at 11:30 a.m., Soluciones Automatizadas S.A.S. will lead the panel discussion "From Thread to Code – Integrated Technology for a More Agile and Efficient Industry." This event will address the incorporation of technologies such as design software (CAD), product management (PLM), and advanced machinery, demonstrating how these tools are driving greater efficiency, sustainability, and customization capabilities in textile and fashion production.
On June 13 at 11:30 a.m. m., the academic program will close with the presentation "Memes, Trends and Digital Culture: Fashion in the Internet Age," a current analysis of how digital phenomena—such as memes, TikTok or Instagram virals, and so-called "cores"—are influencing language, aesthetics, and consumption patterns in the contemporary fashion world.
