More than just a trade fair, Createx 2025 reaffirmed its role as a driving force in the textile and clothing industry.
The seventh edition of Createx, the textile and apparel industry trade show, concluded successfully in Bogotá. Nearly 8,000 visitors attended a trade show featuring 239 exhibitors. For three days, Corferias' pavilions 6, 7, and 8 hosted key players in this sector of the national economy, which represents 34 billion pesos annually for the fashion market, equivalent to 10% of industrial GDP and 1% of the country's total GDP.
The fair energized the textile and apparel ecosystem by presenting solutions and services for the manufacturing of finished products, as well as cross-cutting services. Furthermore, it established itself as a favorable space for generating new businesses, commercial relationships, knowledge exchange, and updates on the latest industry developments, including trends, machinery, and technology.
Organized by Corferias and the Colombian Chamber of Apparel and Related Industries, the event offered visitors direct access to essential inputs for creating their fashion collections for the second season of the year. Various full-service solutions were also presented, ranging from raw material management and prototyping to mass production, quality control, and logistics.
Guillermo Elías Criado, president of the Colombian Chamber of Apparel and Clothing, stated: "This event reaffirms the sector's commitment to innovation, strengthening the textile industry, and creating opportunities for development for the country's entrepreneurs. Createx 2025 consolidates itself as a key platform for the exchange of knowledge, trends, and business opportunities in the apparel and textile sector in Colombia and the region."
Lilian Conde, Corferias project manager for Createx, emphasized: "This year, the fair was structured around several key components that consolidated its role as a comprehensive platform for the textile industry, including a trade show with a pavilion specializing in textiles, inputs, suppliers, and machinery. This space allowed attendees to experience firsthand the latest market offerings, fostering the strengthening of business relationships."
The project manager also highlighted the Innovation and Trends component, which included recent advances in textiles, machinery, and inputs, complemented by experience centers that showcased cutting-edge technological applications. This was complemented by the Knowledge and Updating component, with a robust academic agenda and workshops focused on training and professional development.
